Scott Smith is a veteran healthcare leader who has been a part of LifePoint Health
since 2006. He currently serves as Market CEO overseeing both National Park Medical
Center (NPMC) and Saline Health System. Scott is a graduate of Belhaven University
in Jackson, Mississippi, and Mississippi State University.
Scott has served in various roles with LifePoint Health serving as CEO at Western
Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City, Kansas, CEO and Louisiana market president at
Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte, Louisiana, and its Acadian Medical
Center campus in Eunice, Louisiana. He served as CEO of Bolivar Medical Center in
Cleveland, Mississippi, and Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City, Louisiana.
Prior to joining LifePoint, Smith was CEO of Central Mississippi Medical Center and
River West Medical Center in Louisiana.
Scott has a reputation for his passionate commitment to quality and safety and is
known for developing strong and productive relationships with physicians and employees.
Scott and his wife Angela, an Ole’ Miss Rebelette, have three adult children sprinkled
across the southern U.S. They are enjoying becoming more involved in Hot Springs and
look forward to hopefully eventually retiring in the community.
