Aprile moved to Hot Springs last year but is originally from Smackover, Arkansas. She has been an adjunct math teacher for NPC for the past year and is now teaching full time in the Math Sciences division.

She has a Master of Science degree in mathematics with a minor in mechanical engineering and a focus in computational fluid dynamics from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She has a Bachelor of Science in math education with a minor in science education and a focus in chemistry from Louisiana Tech University.

She is excited to join the team at NPC and says students here are serious about learning, focused on their goals, and have a good work ethic. “I love the students, and faculty and staff,” she said. “Everyone is working hard to do their jobs the very best they can.”

Aprile loves the challenge that comes with seeing a new problem and the satisfaction of solving it. She is inspired by the academic atmosphere and exchange of ideas in higher education and believes she is called to teach. She stated, “As a young person, I prayed to find a purpose in life that would help others and teaching is an answer to my prayers.”

She loves hiking with her husband, sewing, crafting, bargain hunting, and spending time with her grandchildren.
