Jerry Summers was born in Texas and lived most of his adult life in Idaho. He holds a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from National University, formerly Northcentral University. He has a Master’s of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from Trinity College of the Bible. Jerry retired as chief of police from the McCall Police Department in 2013. He held positions as a code enforcement officer, patrol officer, school resource officer, field training officer, field training supervisor, detective, crime scene reconstruction, detective sergeant, patrol sergeant, and internal affairs supervisor. Jerry has testified as a subject matter expert in Idaho courts for crime scene reconstruction, blood pattern analysis, police protocols and procedures, arson investigation, and questioned document examination. He has also testified in the United States District Court 5th Judicial District (Washington D.C./Virginia) in crime scene investigation/reconstruction. He enjoys the outdoors and life.
