MS-Student Affairs Administration
MA-English

I earned my Associate of Arts degree from National Park College in 2009 and was inspired to return as a faculty member. As a first-generation, low-income, single-parent student, the committed faculty and staff at NPC encouraged me to dream big and work hard. They guided me through programs like Student Support Services, Career Pathways, Phi Theta Kappa, Student Government Association, and Student Ambassador, shaping my educational experiences and career choices.

Following NPC, I obtained a BA in English from Henderson State University and pursued an MS in College Student Personnel and an MA in English from Arkansas Tech University. My career in higher education began as a student affairs intern at College of the Ouachitas in 2009, eventually leading me to become their director of Career Services. Later, I spent several years at Henderson State University as the director for Career Development and as an advisor for a TRiO Upward Bound program.

I started teaching English as an adjunct faculty at NPC in 2013 and became full-time in 2021. Teaching here full-time is a dream come true, and I hope to inspire students as I was inspired by the faculty and staff.

Apart from my work, I am devoted to trail and natural resource advocacy and enjoy outdoor activities like cycling, hiking, and kayaking.
