High School Students Earn Medical Certifications

National Park Technology Center (NPTC) Health Science Technology Education (HSTE) Level 2 students earned 40 medical certifications this semester. Twenty-five students passed the Certified Medical Records Technician national certification examination and 15 passed the Certified Medical Billing Specialist national certification examination.

National Park College hosted an event in celebration of International Women’s Day Wednesday with guest speaker, Minnie Lennox and a Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® men’s march. The march is a playful way to increase awareness for serious women’s issues, including sexualized violence against women. The march featured male faculty, staff and students from a variety of areas on campus who were fitted with red high heeled shoes and given a pathway to walk.

HOSA Students Collect 50 Boxes of Supplies for Remote Alaskan School

National Park Technology Center (NPTC) Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) students collected more than 50 boxes of school supplies for the Relda’s Reach project. The project began last fall when the HOSA students discovered a need for school supplies for a disadvantaged school district in Mountain Village, Alaska.
