ALPHA DELTA NU INDUCTS NINE NEW MEMBERS

National Park College’s (NPC) Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society inducted nine new members into their Beta Lambda Chapter last week.

Alpha Delta Nu is an honor society of the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN). The organization promotes scholarship and academic excellence in the profession of nursing. NPC was chartered with the Beta Lambda chapter of the Alpha Delta Nu National Honor Society for Associate Degree Nursing in July 2013.

Student members are invited to join based on their academic achievements and professional conduct. Those who meet eligibility requirements are invited in their third semester of the nursing program and must complete a group community project during the third semester. Upon completion of the project and by maintaining the academic requirements, the student is officially inducted into the honor society during the fourth semester of the program. Nurse student leaders are nominated as members based on three criteria. Students must have attained a 3.0 overall GPA based on the NPC degree plan, maintained a 3.0 GPA in all nursing courses, and demonstrated conduct on campus and in the clinical areas that reflect integrity and professionalism.
