National Park College (NPC) will participate in the statewide one-day fundraising event, Arkansas Gives, hosted by the Arkansas Community Foundation April 6 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
National Park College (NPC) conducted a volunteer day at Hot Springs National Park Saturday. Volunteers removed trash in the Gulpha Gorge campground area and nearby hiking trails.
National Park College (NPC) will host tryouts for the Nighthawk Basketball team April 22 in the gymnasium. The team will begin a competitive travel schedule for the fall 2017 semester. Open tryouts for women will be from 12 to 2 p.m. and for men from 3 to 6 p.m.
Bill Solleder, Special Events Manager at Visit Hot Springs asked Advertising and Graphic Design students at National Park Technology Center (NPTC) to participate in a poster design competition for this year’s Annual Fishing Challenge. Designs were submitted by area high school juniors and seniors.
National Park Technology Center (NPTC) Health Science Technology Education (HSTE) Level 2 students earned 40 medical certifications this semester. Twenty-five students passed the Certified Medical Records Technician national certification examination and 15 passed the Certified Medical Billing Specialist national certification examination.

National Park College hosted an event in celebration of International Women’s Day Wednesday with guest speaker, Minnie Lennox and a Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® men’s march. The march is a playful way to increase awareness for serious women’s issues, including sexualized violence against women. The march featured male faculty, staff and students from a variety of areas on campus who were fitted with red high heeled shoes and given a pathway to walk.

National Park College’s (NPC) Alpha Beta Psi chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honors Society attended the 2017 Phi Theta Kappa Oklahoma/Arkansas regional meeting in Edmond, Oklahoma at the University of Central Oklahoma last week.
