NPC Summer Camps 

Summer camps are open to students entering the 5th to the 10th grade.

Extended Care

Extended care will be offered for both mornings and evenings and costs $30 each. Drop-off for morning extended care is no earlier than 7:30 a.m. and pick-up is no later than 5 p.m. for evening extended care. If you have any questions or need additional information please email summercamps@np.edu

Morning Sessions

Camp dates are June 14-24 and July 12-22, Monday - Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. The cost of the morning session is $125.00. Please choose 2 camps for this session.

Rocket Science

If you are fascinated with space and what lies beyond our Earth then our Rocket Summer Camp is perfect for you. Join us to learn about, make and experiment with rockets. We will soar into the world of rocketry with hands on learning techniques and demonstrations. Starting with the basic Laws of Motion to design and optimize our rockets.

DIY: Drone It Yourself

Come on an adventure in the world of small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (sUAV) or "Drones". In this DIY Drone camp, students will build their own unmanned aircraft, learn all about flight control, safety, and practice their flying skills. Drone camp brings real-world STEM applications to the next generation of scientists, makers, engineers, and hobbyists.

Leadership

Understand what it takes to influence and empower others by learning how to achieve excellence in leadership. This camp will help breakdown the characteristics that are needed to become a great leader.

Young Manufacturer's Academy (YMA)

You will be introduced to all facets of the manufacturing industry, through hands-on activities and travel to industry locations for on-site interaction with manufacturers. Students have the opportunity to design using CAD software, manufacture, build and customize a product during this entrepreneur style camp. 

Culinary

Who doesn't like food? In this session, students will learn all about food, food culture, food safety and current food trends. They will also learn about the food service industry and how to prepare some tasty culinary dishes.

Afternoon Sessions

Camp dates are June 14-24 and July 12-22, Monday - Thursday, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 3:20 p.m. The cost of the afternoon session is $125.00. Please choose 2 camps for this session.

Tech Camp

Tech camp is a computer science camp that provides students a chance to explore programming, gaming and other technologies. This camp is a hands-on learning camp using tools such as scratch programming, Python, Raspberry Pi and more. 

3D Printing

3D boot camp dives into a 3-dimensional cyber world where the only limits are your imagination. Learn the basics of 3D design and modeling then print (and keep) your creation on a 3D printer. Create virtual solids from the practical to the whimsical. Hidden behind the scenes are principles of math, engineering and technology.

Science of the Eye

Have you ever wondered how an eye works? Join us to dissect an eye to see what all it does. On top of learning how the eye detects light and creates an image in the brain, students will learn about the light reflex, the blind spot, color blindness and why some people wear glasses.
