Total cost of education including programs veterans may qualify for, all avenues of financial assistance as well as tuition and fees, and federal educational benefits that are available. Students must be aware of the estimated student loan debt upon graduation. Prospective students may access National Park College's (NPC) financial aid worksheet that includes an estimated cost of attendance via the Net Price Calculator. Students are encouraged to file the Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and list National Park College as the college choice for a complete picture of federal aid available.
The College should have a process in place to alert students of eligibility for veteran benefits before arranging for private student loans. Students can meet with the NPC Veteran’s Affairs Coordinator to determine eligibility for veteran benefits. These are not included on the financial aid worksheet because the amount cannot be determined until the student applies through the Veteran’s Administration and receives a certificate of eligibility.
End all aggressive recruiting tactics and misrepresenting incentives or compensations NPC is accredited through the Higher Learning Commission and adheres to the high standard of recruiting practices established CRRT.C.10.010. We are committed to treating students ethically, respectfully, and professionally. When recruiting students, NPC provides clear and up-to-date information to all prospective students.
Obtain the approval of accrediting institutions for new course and program offerings. Accreditation through the Higher Learning Commission requires new courses and degrees to be approved. In addition, NPC uses the guidelines provided for area specific accreditations as well. View NPC's accreditation list.
Allow service members and reservists to be readmitted to a program if they are temporarily unable to attend based on service requirements. NPC understands the commitment of those who serve. Every effort is made by both the registrar’s office and individual faculty members to accommodate as needed. Students are required to file a Withdrawal Form to receive a W for all courses. No extra fees will be collected and the student will be readmitted at the previous academic status.
Agree to an institutional refund policy that aligns with the Department of Education Act of 1965. Specifically, the plan must fit Title IV requirements in section 484B. A student called to active duty must provide a copy of the orders to obtain a 100% refund of tuition and fees. NPC will determine the amount of used and unused portions of federal funds in compliance with the Department of Education HEA, Section 484B and 34 CFR 668.22.
