NPC Hosts Grand Opening for Transfer Center

Hot Springs, Arkansas – National Park College (NPC) hosted a grand opening celebration for the National Park University (NPU) Transfer Center Tuesday. More than 200 students attended the opening.

The NPU Transfer Center is located in the Gerald Fisher building on the third floor and is home to eight university transfer partners, including Arkansas Tech University (ATU), Henderson State University (HSU),
Southern Arkansas University (SAU), University of Arkansas (UA), University of Arkansas Fort Smith (UAFS),
University of Arkansas Little Rock (UALR), and University of Central Arkansas (UCA).

The NPU Transfer Center will assist students in navigating their transfer path from one of NPC’s 69 transfer degrees to a four-year college or university. The Center will serve as the hub for all transfer related services and activities and will provide the resources needed to ensure the transfer experience is as well planned and seamless as possible.

NPU Transfer Center staff will provide academic advising for NPC students pursuing a transfer degree. University displays provide information that will help students navigate the transfer process from NPC to each university. The Center will also provide students with the opportunity to meet with university recruiters and academic advisors.

NPU remains committed to guaranteed course transfer agreements with all university partners. This commitment ensures that when our students successfully complete their degree at NPC and meet the university admissions requirements, they will enter the university degree program as a junior.

Students interested in learning more about transfer related services can schedule an appointment with Transfer Center Coordinator, Anne Benoit at anne.benoit@np.edu or visit np.edu/npu.
