NPTC Students Attend SkillsUSA Conference

Hot Springs, Arkansas – National Park Technology Center (NPTC) students recently competed in the SkillsUSA National Championships and Leadership Conference. Six students and two advisors attended the weeklong conference held in Louisville, Kentucky, June 20 – 24. Over 16,000 students, teachers and advisors representing all 50 states and US territories were present during the competitions. High school students representing the Criminal Justice and Advertising and Graphic Design programs competed in their respective contests as the Arkansas State SkillsUSA Champions.

NPTC Students Attend HOSA International Leadership Conference

July 5, 2016

Hot Springs, Arkansas – Eight National Park Technology Center (NPTC) Health Science Technology Education (HSTE) students attended the 39th Annual Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) International Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, June 22-26. Students qualified for the conference by competing and winning their event at the state conference in March. Approximately 10,500 students attended the national conference. HOSA affiliations are in all 50 states plus Puerto Rico, Mexico, American Samoa, Canada and the District of Columbia. Students were accompanied by Susan Kelly and HOSA advisor/HSTE instructor, Relda Steelman.
