The NPC Transfer Center (NPUC) has developed over 70 transfer degrees for specific program areas. These degrees allow you to complete your freshman and sophomore courses at NPC and then transfer into your degree program as a junior at our partner institution. All courses are guaranteed to transfer. If one of these transfer degrees aligns with your education goals, it will be a better option for you than the Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Liberal Studies (ALS). Speak to an academic advisor or the faculty mentor show in the Catalog for your degree program so they can help you understand the degree plan and graduation map.
The Associate of Arts (AA) is composed of 60 credit-hours. If you decide to pursue a bachelor’s degree, many of your AA courses will fulfill the degree requirements at the transferring institution. However, you may be required to complete additional lower-division courses to meet program major requirements.
The Associate of Liberal Studies (ALS) degree is developed by you and your advisor. Individual courses, some of which are offered on campus and some online, may fulfill requirements for transfer toward a bachelor's degree.
If NPC does not have a transfer degree that meets your academic and career goals and you know the degree plan and university where you intend to transfer after NPC, we encourage you to let your academic advisor know. Your advisor can help you understand which classes on the AA or ALS may or may not fulfill degree requirements at your selected university.
