Dr. Burgess teaches the Pathway to Engineering curriculum in the NPC Career Academy
and also serves as an adjunct instructor for Engineering Graphics in the Math and
Sciences Division. He previously taught Mathematics at Philander Smith College. Prior
to his teaching experience he was an R&D engineer and engineering manager at three
U. S. Department of Energy National Laboratories. He earned a Ph.D and a Bachelor
of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Arkansas and a Master of Science
degree in Engineering from the University of New Mexico.
