Arkansas Adult Education is proud to partner with the Arkansas Department of Human Services through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education and Training (SNAP E&T) and the Temporary Assistance for Needy  Families (TANF) program to provide  more assistance to our students.

SNAP Benefits

If you qualify for or are currently receiving SNAP benefits, you are eligible to participate in the SNAP E&T program.

SNAP E&T participants are eligible for assistance with:

  • Certification Expenses
  • Workforce Training
  • Employability Skills
  • Obtaining Employment
  • Transportation Reimbursements

TANF Benefits

In addition to basic skills improvement  and GED® testing, students who qualify for or receive TANF or SNAP benefits may be eligible for assistance with:

  • Workforce Preparation
  • Workforce Training
  • Job Search and Resume Building
  • Costs Associated with Tuition, Earning Credentials, and Earning Certifications
  • Education and Job-related Supplies
  • Child Care
  • Transportation (gas cards/ bus vouchers)
  • Basic Needs (food/ shelter/ clothing)
