Applying for Student Loans (Federal Direct Loans)

Students interested in applying for a student loan must first complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This application is available at www.studentaid.gov. After the Student's Financial Aid package is complete, the student's eligibility for a student loan can be determined.

Request an Unsubsidized Loan

To request an unsubsidized loan, students must complete the Unsubsidized Direct Loan Request form. Students will then need to accept the loan offer in their OASIS account.

Loan Requirements

Students who accept loan offers must fulfill direct loan requirements. Visit www.studentaid.gov to complete the Master Promissary Note (MPN) and the Entrance Counseling for Undergraduates. Students who receive a student loan must be in at least 6 credit hours and maintain satisfactory academic progress to continue to be eligible to receive the loan funds.
