Joel Newburn

Joel Newburn graduated from high school in Clarksville, Arkansas, and promptly joined the Army National Guard, where he served for 10 years as both an air traffic controller and a Blackhawk helicopter pilot. During his time in the Guard, he was deployed twice to Iraq. While fulfilling his military duties, Joel earned a bachelor’s degree in professional aeronautics with a minor in business administration from Henderson State University, where he also met his wife, Lexie.

In 2012, after completing his military service, Joel and Lexie moved to Hot Springs to start their family. They are proud parents to three sons, ages 5, 7, and 9, who attend Gospel Light Christian School. Since 2012, both Joel and Lexie have been dedicated financial advisors, with Joel also serving as the area director for the Gideons International south-central region.

In addition to his professional career, Joel is actively involved in the political community of Garland County, where he contributes his time and leadership.
