NPC Minutes of the SGA Meeting
The National Park College Student Government Association met Thursday, February 6, 2025 beginning at 1:03 p.m. SGA members present were president Jayden Story, treasurer Cristian Cisneros, historian Nia Fontes, at-large reps Genesis Godoys, Jennifer Cruz, and Khristin Guardado, freshman rep David Cooks, Josh Hill and Keira Ray and advisor Sheri Bailey.
I: Approval of minutes
- The meeting minutes from January 23, 2025, were not Alex has a recording of this meeting and a follow-up to approve is required.
II: Reports
- Officers Reports:
- Treasure Report: There is $6827.43 left in the budget.
- President Report: ACC Conference: Attendees reported a positive experience and enjoyment of the sessions.
- Historian Report:
- SharePoint Access: Nia reported issues accessing Mrs. Bailey confirmed she is a member, but troubleshooting is needed to resolve blank pages and loading issues.
- Photo Submission: Members were reminded to send event photos through GroupMe.
- Event Attendance Counts: Members asked to share attendance numbers for events on It was noted that for the future, the attendance numbers should be referenced in the meeting minutes following the event.
- Public Relations Report: none. Brianna was absent.
- Standing Committee Reports:
- Interclub Committee: none.
- Constitution and By-Laws Committee:
- Met on February 5,
- Next meeting is scheduled for February 12,
- A special meeting for the final recommendations for the SGA Constitution will be A special meeting poll was sent via GroupMe to schedule the presentation of recommendations.
- Events Committee:
- Valentine’s Day Cookie Decorating: Shopping is scheduled for February 6 at 4 p.m. The event will be held on February 13.

- Met on January 27,
- Reviewed results of the last safety poll and developed follow-up questions: On-campus vs. off-campus safety perceptions and perception and usage of the Guardian app

- Thursday, March 13 - Spring Fling hosted by Student Life but SGA will have a table featuring a Baggo game.

- Victoria confirmed with event organizers that students may leave early for a scheduled SGA event.

- One vendor limits attendance to 30 guests. The Events Committee will follow up to assess feasibility based on expected student turnout.

V: Announcements
- Victoria posted all remaining meetings and activities for the semester on the GroupMe calendar along with polls of who can attend/help.
- Proposed Event: Khristin suggested hosting an activity similar to AIRE events held in other parts of the state.
- Suggestion: Mrs. Bailey recommended partnering with the Cultural Diversity Club (advisor: Lynn Valetutti) to organize the Lynn Valetutti is open to the idea.
Motion was made and unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at 2:01 p.m.
