NPC Minutes of the SGA Meeting
The National Park College Student Government Association met Wednesday, January 24, 2024 beginning at 8:04 a.m. SGA members present were president Victoria Dalton, vice president Ashley Mitchell, secretary Itzel Trinidad, treasurer Jayden Story, public relations officer Abigail Curphey, historian Madellen Harkay, at-large reps Cristian Cisneros and Rebecca Funderburk, freshman rep Gilbert Behr and advisors Sheri Bailey and Caysie Martin.
I: Approval of minutes
- Approved minutes November 27, 2023
II: Reports
- Officers Reports:

Treasure Report: none.
- President Report: President Victoria Dalton shared about the success of the holiday party on November 28 and final treats.
- Discussed the idea of purchasing a clicker.

- Standing Committee Reports:
- Motion was passed for Gilbert to be appointed as part of the Constitution and By-Laws Committee.
- Ad Hoc Committee Reports
- Motion was passed for Gilbert and Jayden to be appointed as part of the Investigation for Peer Mentoring Committee.
III: Items for Action - Unfinished Business
- Arkansas Student Government Association Constitution - No updates.
- SGA pictures in Student Organization Room – Victoria was assigned to work and finish SGA pictures by next meeting.
IV: Items for Action - New Business
- Student Organization Showcase was discussed. Members volunteered to help.
- Members reviewed spring calendar and confirmed to volunteer for service day on March 9, 2024. Service Committee was discussed, and motion was passed to confirm this committee. Ashley is chair of this committee. Spirit week committee was discussed as well, and motion was passed. Victoria and Ashley are chair of this committee. Members also discussed that meetings will be held every two weeks. Next meeting was confirmed for February 7, 2024.
- Review of Student Organizations website entries and officer updates will still be reviewed.
- Members discussed new freshman representatives. Discussed having them attend our next meeting.
V: Business from the Floor
- The Pride Hawks Association submitted a request for funds after the agenda was sent out to members. The request is for decorations for their table at the Student Organization Showcase. They requested $30. Motion was passed.
Motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting at 8:45 a.m.
