NPC STUDENT GOVERNMENT HOSTS PASSING THE GAVEL CEREMONY

Hot Springs, Arkansas – The National Park College (NPC) Student Government Association hosted a Passing the Gavel Ceremony last week. The 2015-2016 officer team was recognized for their accomplishments and seven new officers were installed in their respective offices for 2016-2017.

The outgoing officer team shared a list of activities and accomplishments for the past year. Highlights included a visit with Governor Asa Hutchinson, Car Show scholarship fundraiser, Smash the Bias Student Diversity Activity, establishing a professional clothes closet for students, and the purchase of campus monitors for student announcements.

The incoming officer team was selected during the campus wide SGA election in April. New officers will receive an orientation and leadership training during a summer retreat for student government.
