National Park College (NPC) Nighthawk Athletics has selected Jeremy Winzer to become its next Athletic Director.
A native of Ruston, Louisiana, Winzer brings 17 years of experience in intercollegiate athletics, higher education and scholastic sports leadership to NPC. He most recently served as Assistant Coach of Track and Field and Cross Country at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where his leadership contributed to numerous NCAA Division I national qualifiers, Top-5 conference team finishes and school records.
Winzer’s career also features successful stints at Clarke University, Park University, Mississippi Valley State University and Culver-Stockton College, where he held roles spanning coaching, recruiting coordination and academic support. Across these institutions, he led program rebuilds, rebranded team identities and guided student-athletes to record-setting performances and historic conference finishes.
His experience also includes national recruiting leadership with Next Student College Athlete (NCSA), where he supported more than 1,200 student-athletes and families through the college recruiting process.
“NPC has a strong foundation and a clear commitment to student-athlete success, both academically and competitively,” Winzer said. “I’m honored to join the Nighthawk family and excited to continue building on the momentum already in place. My goal is to create a family-like environment where our student-athletes can thrive, our coaches feel supported and our programs reflect the pride and excellence of this community.”
Winzer succeeds Rich Thompson, who recently became the Manager of the Arkansas Travelers, the Minor League Baseball affiliate of the Seattle Mariners.
