National Park College (NPC) Nighthawk sophomore pitcher Avery Creech (Logansport, Louisiana) has been named National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Region 2 Player of the Week for her outstanding performance in the circle.

In the seventh week of NJCAA reporting this season, Creech finished 2-0, allowing just one hit, striking out eight and throwing the second perfect game in Nighthawk history.

The sophomore leads NPC (11-15, 3-3) this season with four wins, a 3.83 ERA and 53 strikeouts.

Riding a five-game winning streak, NPC opens a four‑game NJCAA Region 2 road stretch with doubleheaders at Carl Albert State College on Friday, March 27, in Poteau, Oklahoma, and at the University of Arkansas-Rich Mountain on Saturday, March 28, in Mena. The Nighthawks return home Tuesday, March 31, to face Arkansas State University-Newport.
