Two members of the National Park College (NPC) baseball team were named to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II All-Region 2 second team this week for their outstanding efforts on the field this season.
Righthanded relief pitcher Maddax Kincannon (Fort Smith) was selected to the All-Region 2 second team. The freshman boasted a team-best 5.92 earned run average this season, striking out 18 batters over 24 and one-third innings of work.
Outfielder Nash Brown (Ashdown) was also selected to the All-Region 2 second team.
The versatile freshman led the team in runs scored (39), triples (3), slugging percentage
(.612), hit by pitches (9), and on-base percentage (.478) while hitting for the first
cycle in program history and setting NPC’s all-time batting average mark (.395).
