National Park College (NPC) will host the grand opening of its Metalworks facility Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, at 2 p.m.
The state-of-the-art expansion strengthens NPC’s commitment to workforce training and career-ready technical education in Hot Springs. The ceremony will feature multiple speakers who will highlight the facility’s features and share how the space supports regional economic growth:
- Dr. Chuck Argo, Vice President for Academic Affairs
- Dr. Wade Derden, NPC President
- Representative Richard McGrew
- Stephanie Isaacs, Director, Arkansas Office of Skills Development
- Christopher Cummins, Welding Student
Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, guests will tour the 16,000-square-foot facility, which houses NPC’s credit and non-credit welding programs. The September Board of Trustees meeting will convene immediately afterward.
