The National Park College (NPC) Nighthawks softball and men’s soccer teams received 2024-25 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Academic Teams of the Year honors this week, celebrating their continued commitment to excellence in the classroom.

With an impressive 3.65 team GPA, Nighthawk softball earned All-Academic honors for the second-consecutive year. Sophomores Gracie Fowler (Texarkana) and Jessica Suire (New Iberia, Louisiana) and freshmen Paige Attaway (Fouke) and Ella Cross (Monroe, Louisiana), Maci Graves (Whitesboro, Texas) were named to the All-Academic first team for maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Sophomores Karlee Marrall (Perryville) and Tayler Southern (Winnsboro, Louisiana) join freshmen Avery Creech (Logansport, Louisiana) and Rachel Lawyer (Rockwall, Texas) as All-Academic third team honorees, maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.60.

“It’s an honor to be recognized with NJCAA All-Academic Honors,” head softball coach Dorrie Cormier said. “Our student-athletes have worked incredibly hard in the classroom to earn this achievement, and I’m super proud of our girls for their dedication and commitment to excellence.”

Freshman Tim Grahmann (Rüdesheim am Rhein, Germany) was recognized as an All-Academic third team honoree, maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.60.

“Our boys put in a lot of work in the classroom this past year, so receiving NJCAA All-Academic honors is thoroughly deserved,” NPC head men’s soccer coach Corey Irvine said. “I held them all to a high standard on and off the field, pushing them a lot throughout the year. I feel proud that it has reflected in their grades. We put in the extra hours with study hall, so all credit goes to the team for achieving this.”
