National Park College (NPC) Nighthawk softball sophomore pitcher Gracie Fowler (Texarkana) was named National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division 2 Pitcher of the Week and NJCAA Region 2 Pitcher of the Week this week for her outstanding contributions on the diamond.
For week 10 of the 2025 season, which spanned April 2-8, Fowler went 2-0 in the circle, earning a win in relief over Southern Arkansas University Tech and notching a complete game victory over North Arkansas College. In two appearances, the righthander allowed one hit with 10 strikeouts over seven and one-third scoreless innings while holding opposing batters to a .042 average for the week.
“I’m so proud of Gracie,” NPC head coach Autumn Wyatt said. “She works so hard and is an incredible leader on the pitching staff. I love seeing her be recognized because she is so deserving!”
Fowler is 8-3 in the circle this season with a 2.66 ERA and 81 strikeouts. The sophomore
hurler currently ranks fifth all-time at NPC in wins and strikeouts.
