The National Park College Board of Trustees approved a resolution to engage Clark Contractors as the construction manager for the College’s new welding and metalworking facility, contingent upon approval of the Arkansas Legislative Council. The resolution was voted on during the regular monthly meeting Wednesday.
This decision follows a thorough review process that began with the issuance of a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to identify qualified construction managers. An evaluation committee reviewed and scored all submissions, interviewed the top three candidates, and ultimately selected Clark Contractors.
“The selection committee is pleased to present Clark Contractors as our recommendation for this important project,” said Raymond Wright, building and campus development committee chair. “They have a long history of working with the State of Arkansas and have constructed educational facilities of all sizes. Their expertise and experience will be invaluable as we move forward with the construction of this state-of-the-art facility.”
The new welding and metalworking facility will provide students with enhanced learning opportunities in these high-demand fields. The project is part of the College’s ongoing commitment to providing students with the skills and training they need to succeed in the workforce.
The College will submit its recommendation to the Arkansas Legislative Council for final approval.
