The Sustainability Club at National Park College organized a campus litter cleanup last month, drawing a small but dedicated group of volunteers.
Six participants spent an hour collecting trash around the northeast side of campus, each filling a large bag with litter. Although the weather was warm, the group remained enthusiastic throughout the event.
“Despite the sunny Arkansas heat, the cleanup was a fun community event that allowed our roads, campus, and woods to be a little bit cleaner,” said Sustainability Club President Kinsi Bienick.
The club plans to host another cleanup later in the semester when temperatures begin to cool.
