Undefeated Nighthawks Soar Past Bulldogs

Brody Tucker goes up for a shot.The top-ranked National Park College (NPC) Nighthawk men’s basketball team (17-0) remained undefeated on the 2023-24 season with a convincing 109-58 victory over Shorter College Thursday.

From the opening tipoff, NPC pounded the paint with dunks, layups and jumpers to take the lead and never look back. Led by sophomore forward Nakavieon White (Odessa, Texas) and sophomore guard Keryn Collins (Dallas, Texas), the Nighthawks erupted on a 40-9 run over the first 17 minutes and cruised to a lopsided 50-16 halftime advantage.

Utilizing their deep bench, the Nighthawks spread their scoring across multiple student-athletes over the final 20 minutes. Sophomore guard Brody Tucker (Kirby) led the attack for NPC, knocking down five three-pointers in the second half as National Park College cruised to its 17th victory of the season.

Tucker and White led the Nighthawks in scoring with 18 points apiece. Collins and sophomore guard Ja’Bryant Hill (Dallas, Texas) each added 11 points, while freshman forward Hunter Burke (Vandervoort) finished with 10 points in the win.
