Two members of the National Park College (NPC) Nighthawk men’s basketball team were
named National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Americans this week
for their outstanding performance on the court this season.
Nakavieon White (Odessa, Texas) was named to the All-American first team. An All-American
third team honoree last season, the sophomore forward led the Nighthawks in assists,
blocks, defensive rebounds and total rebounds this season. Averaging 17.4 points per
game and 8.1 rebounds per game this season, White captured multiple awards, including
back-to-back NJCAA All-Region 2 MVP honors and being named to the 2024 NJCAA National
Tournament All-Tournament team.
Ranked the No. 5 player in the nation by JucoRecruiting.com, White leaves NPC as a
national champion and the program’s all-time leader in scoring (954), rebounds (438),
assists (328) and blocks (104).
“Nakavieon has been a pillar of this program over the past two years and has had some
amazing achievements,” NPC Head Coach Dillon Hargrove said. “He embodies what it means
to be a Nighthawk. I’m so proud of him and the growth he has shown at National Park
College.”
Ja’Bryant Hill (Dallas, Texas) was named to the All-American second team. Averaging
17.3 points per game, the speedy sophomore led the Nighthawks in points scored, field
goals made, free throws and steals this season. Additionally, Hill rewrote the history
books for NPC, breaking the Nighthawks’ single-game scoring record (50) and single-game steals record (10) this season. A member of the NJCAA
All-Region 2 team, Hill took home the Jack Cistriano Best Small Man award at the 2023-24
NJCAA Division 2 National Tournament.
Hill completes his Nighthawk career as a national champion and NPC’s all-time leader
in free throws (234) and steals (125).
“I’m so happy for Ja’Bryant to be recognized as an All-American,” Hargrove said. “He
has shown great leadership as the heart of our team for the past two seasons and is
a deserving award to a player who has consistently shown us that he is a winner. Both
Nakavieon White and Ja’Bryant Hill will go down as two of the all-time greatest players
in Nighthawk history.”
