Nighthawk Men, Pioneers Finish In Draw

The National Park College (NPC) Nighthawk men’s soccer team concluded its regular season Saturday at North Arkansas College in Harrison, finishing with a 2-2 draw against the Pioneers.

Despite grabbing an early 2-0 lead on unassisted goals from sophomore midfielder Felix Rocca (Leipzig, Germany) and sophomore winger Jack Avery (Brighton, England), the Nighthawk men (12-1-3) could not hold off a late two-goal rally from the Pioneers, resulting in a draw.

NPC men’s soccer advances to the NJCAA Central District tournament, held November 3-4 at St. Louis Community College-Florissant Valley in St. Louis, Missouri. The Nighthawks face St. Louis Community College in the semifinals at 11 a.m. Friday, with the winner advancing to the Central District championship Saturday, November 4 at 1 p.m.

Nighthawk women’s soccer faces St. Charles Community College in the NJCAA Central District championship Sunday, November 5 at 1 p.m. The match will be played at St. Charles Community College in Cottleville, Missouri.
