NPC, CHI Hot Springs Open Health Clinic
National Park College (NPC) and Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) Hot Springs opened
an on-campus health clinic this month. The College hosted an open house for the clinic
ahead of the NPC Board of Trustees’ regularly scheduled monthly meeting Wednesday.
Attendees were able to tour the new clinic space which opened to students, faculty,
staff and community members Monday, February 13. Nurse practitioners are available
to assist with general illnesses and injuries, women’s wellness visits, pregnancy
testing, athletic and general physicals, and tuberculosis testing.
The clinic is located in the lower level of the Liberal Arts building in room 104.
Weekly hours of operation are Monday 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Thursday 8 a.m. to noon.
All major insurances are accepted and significant discounts are offered for self-pay
patients. No appointment is needed, walk-ins are welcome.
NPC Board Chair, Joyce Craft said, “This health clinic is an opportunity to enhance
student health and wellness with on-campus access to CHI services and care. We are
grateful to CHI for its continued commitment to NPC students. We have had a very robust
partnership for years, and this is just another fantastic collaboration.”
Dr. John Hogan, NPC President added, “We are fortunate to have such an incredible
health care system in our community, of which CHI is a part. We are thrilled that
our students will have increased access to CHI’s outstanding staff and services right
here on campus. Some of our students will be navigating their own health care for
the first time. I appreciate that they will be able to utilize the care and expertise
of CHI staff when making decisions about their health.”
