National Park College (NPC) announced Hailey Crowder (Lonsdale, AR) as the Arkansas
Community Colleges (ACC) Academic All-Star Scholarship recipient.
Crowder graduated from Fountain Lake High School in 2022 and is pursuing an Associate
of Applied Science in Criminal Justice. She plans to finish her associate degree at
NPC in the fall and transfer to the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith (UAFS) where
she will pursue a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. She wants to work in Federal
Law Enforcement after her education.
When asked why she chose NPC, Crowder shared, “I really liked the community, and the
teachers for my degree program were really awesome. And, I really wanted the community
aspect, it was really nice that I could go to college with people I knew and in a
group of people that I felt comfortable with.”
“I loved the teachers. They are so great, honestly. If it wasn’t for some of my teachers
this last semester, I don’t know what I would have done. They are so awesome. I’m
not just trying to applaud them, I had some really good teachers,” said Crowder.
Crowder said she was grateful to be selected for the scholarship. “I feel really proud
of it. It’s nice to be recognized, but I’m still working toward bigger goals for me.
But, it’s really awesome to know that other people are noticing that I’m working.
That’s pretty awesome in my opinion, and I’m just really appreciative.”
