National Park College (NPC) Nighthawk sophomore pitcher Eli Hutcherson (Cabot) was
named NJCAA Region II Player of the Week for his outstanding performance on the field
this week.
In two appearances this week, Hutcherson earned a 1-0 record, allowing one run on
10 hits while striking out 17. In an 11-0 complete game victory over Northern Oklahoma
College-Enid Sunday, Hutcherson impressed, clinching a crucial NJCAA Region II series
win for the Nighthawks.
“Eli had a spectacular weekend attacking hitters and putting them away,” NPC head
softball coach Rich Thompson said. “His stuff was electric this week and gave us two
opportunities to win.”
Hutcherson holds a 1-4 record for the Nighthawks this season and is second on the
team in strikeouts with 39.
