National Park College (NPC) received equipment donations from Baptist Health Urgent Care last month valued at more than $4,400.
The donations included two IV beds and a wheelchair that will be used in the nursing programs and a phlebotomy chair that will be used in the phlebotomy program.
“NPC Adult Education is committed to providing the finest entry-level health care training in our area. Our local industry partners have a particularly strong need for phlebotomists. We appreciate Baptist Health Urgent Care supporting our program in serving this need. Our students will benefit from Baptist Health’s generosity,” said Associate Vice President for Workforce, Bill Ritter.
Janice Ivers, Dean of Nursing and Health Sciences said, “We are able to remove non-working or outdated equipment and replace it with up-to-date equipment to improve learning for our nursing and allied health students. We are excited to have Baptist Health Urgent Care joining our community and look forward to working with them in the future.”
