National Park College (NPC) student Ethan Ledesma was named student of the month for
January. He is working on an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Digital and Media
Arts and plans to pursue a career in the graphic design field after graduation.
Ledesma said, “In the future, I hope to make art at a larger scale than I am now,
preferably by working with musicians and other artists to create album or poster art
and other merchandise. I love working with other creatively-minded people, so that
would really be my dream job.”
Ledesma grew up in Texarkana, Texas, and attended Pleasant Grove High School. He enjoys
making art of all kinds, but prefers mixed media collages and linoleum stamp carving.
He described himself as a cat lover and enjoys spending time with his four cats, Porkchop,
Lily, Ruthie, and Oliver.
“I've really enjoyed attending NPC so far! I've always loved Hot Springs, so being
able to get a degree in something I genuinely care about and enjoy doing in a town
that I like living in has been really wonderful,” added Ledesma.
Assistant professor Lana Taliaferro said, “Ethan's work in the Digital Media Arts
program has been impressive from the very start. His commitment and dedication to
learning are evident in his ability to produce creative and professional work at these
beginning stages. We are excited to see what he does during the rest of his time at
National Park.”
