Men's Soccer Soars To 3-0 Start

Tobias Minkus kicking the soccer ball.The National Park College (NPC) Nighthawk men’s soccer remained undefeated on the young season, defeating Paris Junior College, 1-0, Sunday.

Against the Dragons, NPC (3-0) defended its territory throughout the first 45 minutes, resulting in a scoreless affair at halftime. In the second half, sophomore corner back Tobias Minkus (Leipzig, Germany) scored the winning goal at the 70-minute mark, assisted by sophomore striker Felix Rocca (Leipzig, Germany).

The Nighthawks attempted five shots on goal during the match. Sophomore goalkeeper Evan Stafford (Cape Coral, Florida) picked up two saves in the win.

NPC faces Ranger College Wednesday, August 30 in Dallas, Texas. The Nighthawk women take on the Rangers at 11 a.m., followed by men’s action at 1 p.m.
