National Park College (NPC) Nighthawk sophomore infielder Cameron Tyson (Cullen, Louisiana)
recently received an honorable mention to the 2023 All-Arkansas Collegiate Team.
Presented by Natural State Baseball, the All-Arkansas Collegiate Team recognizes the
top collegiate teams, coaches and individual players throughout the year in Arkansas,
regardless of classification. Tyson becomes the third NPC student-athlete to be recognized
for the team, joining former Nighthawks Tristen Jamison (Nashville) and Demias Jimerson
(Malvern) as past honorees.
Tyson led NPC in doubles (13), home runs (12), runs batted in (58) and slugging percentage
(.606) this season, while finishing second on the team in batting average (.333),
runs (39) hits (60), walks (26) and stolen bases (12).
“Cam can flat out hit the baseball,” NPC Athletic Director Rich Thompson said. “Not
only did he lead our team in multiple categories, he gave us serious power and presence
in our lineup, too. His shoes will be tough to fill next season.”
