National Park College (NPC) will host the 10th and final Van Davis Memorial 5K Saturday, October 1 at the Student Commons building.
The annual event began in 2013 and established the Van Davis Scholarship endowment. The scholarship was created to continue the legacy established by Dr. Van Davis. This year’s proceeds will be used to support student success initiatives at NPC. To date, the Van Davis scholarship endowment has surpassed $50,000.
Dr. Davis was an esteemed member of the NPC faculty and Chair of the Social Sciences Division, teaching students for nearly 38 years and inspiring them to use their drive, passion, humor and intellect to succeed at earning college degrees.
