Cleo Ross has been named student of the month for October. He is currently enrolled
in his second semester of courses in pursuit of a Technical Certificate in Industrial
Technology and his Associate Degree of Applied Science in General Technology.
In his first semester at National Park College, he earned a 4.0 GPA, placing him on
the Spring 2022 President’s List. This honor earned him an invitation to join the
Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society, which he accepted.
Cleo was awarded the Wencel Trust Scholarship this year and has expressed his own
support and willingness to be an active participant in the new American Welding Society
(AWS) Student Chapter (student organization) that is in development by the current
Welding Technology students.
Cleo is full-time student, father of four, and has returned to school in the interest
of obtaining better employment in support of himself and his family.
“He has had a high level of both academic and social engagement with the students
in these groups, additionally resulting in him being a class leader with the current
new group of students enrolled,” stated Industrial Technology faculty Bill Freuck.
