PTK Hosts Induction Ceremony

One person standing at a podium another leaned over a table signing a book in a conference room.National Park College's (NPC) Alpha Beta Psi chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society inducted 30 students last month.

Twelve inductees attended an induction ceremony with their friends and family. Dr. Wade Derden provided a keynote address. His speech focused on the importance of play in our professional routines.

Inductees included: Thomas Brooks, Chayse Byrd, Jessica Cain, David Calderon, Nikki Cusher, Elizabeth Dearyan, Jacob Dodge, Keisha Fanning, Lalita Fry, Kassidy Gardner, Tristan Garner, James Gill, Karissa Gosney, Zoe Helton, Joshua Hodges, David Horning, Molli Kvammen, Maizie Laws, Madelene Litaker, Emma McJunkins, Emily Murray, Cassondra Pinnon, Cleo Ross, Gary Shipley, Latonya Smith, Carder Stephens, Brady Thacker, Ngoc Tran, April Wafford and Heather Woodall.

“PTK membership is an amazing opportunity for students and the benefits of membership are extraordinary. Students who join PTK have over a 90% graduation rate. I am so proud of the 30 NPC students who chose to join our PTK chapter during the summer and fall terms,” said Dr.  Rebekah Robinette, PTK advisor.
