National Park College (NPC) student Dylan Henry was named student of the month for
December. He has a 4.0 GPA and is pursuing an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in
Business Management with an emphasis in accounting.
Henry plans to become an auditor, but currently works as a caregiver for his mother
and a student worker in the Financial Aid and Student Services Office at NPC. When
he is not working or studying he enjoys reading.
“I really enjoy reading or listening to an audiobook. Unless I am in class or working,
you will find me with my earbuds in listening to an audiobook,” said Henry.
Henry was born in Arkansas but also lived in Alaska, Arizona, and Michigan. He decided
to go back to school, after being injured while performing a roofing job. He wanted
an education that would provide him with opportunities outside of the labor field.
He moved back to Arkansas to be close to his family and complete his education.
“I can definitely vouch for Dylan. He is a great student and comes by our offices
almost every week. He started working in financial aid last year and has done a great
job,” said Zane Jeffers, assistant professor of accounting.
“I wish we had more students like Dylan, always so respectful to do what he needs
to do. He is definitely a great choice,” said Janetta Ritter, professor.
