Nighthawks Fall At Home

In the women’s game, despite an improved defensive front from NPC (0-3), the Lady Norse found a way to break through in the first half, capitalizing on defensive errors to gain an early lead.

Trailing, 4-0, at halftime, the Nighthawks tightened on defense and moved to an aggressive offensive front to push possessions into Lady Norse territory. Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College added a final goal late, sending the Nighthawks to their third-consecutive defeat.

NPC freshman Brooklyn Mize (Godley, TX) added 10 saves in the loss and now leads the NJCAA Region II with 38 saves this season.

In men’s soccer action, the Nighthawks (0-2) gave up a goal midway through the first half before settling into aNPC's Yael Sandoval breaking for the soccer ball while facing opponents. defensive rhythm. The Nighthawk women play host to Redlands Community College at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hot Springs Baptist Church. On Thursday, September 9, the Nighthawk men and women play host to Eastern Oklahoma State College at Hot Springs Baptist Church.
