Nighthawks Fall To Trojans

The National Park College (NPC) Nighthawks women’s soccer team dropped its match with No. 6-ranked Seminole State College Thursday, 6-0.

Despite a stingy defensive start from the Nighthawks, Seminole State broke through NPC’s guard with a goal 10:35 into the match. NPC attempted two shots midway through the period in attempt to equalize, but two additional goals from the Trojans set the pace. Trailing, 3-0, at halftime, the Trojans added three goals over the final 45 minutes to complete the regular-season sweep of the Nighthawks.

NPC freshman Brooklyn Mize (Godley, TX) converted 18 saves in the loss, and continues to lead the NJCAA Region II with 128 saves this season.

The Nighthawk men and women face Rose State College Sunday in Midwest City, OK. The women kick off at 2 p.m. with the men following at 4 p.m.
