Hunt will graduate in May 2022 and plans to transfer to the University of Arkansas Pulaski Tech to complete his culinary training. He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society.

Hunt said pastry work is his passion. “I think it is the artistic aspect to it and the precision that you have to do with baking that I like.” He currently works as a pastry manager for Homeplate Café in Jessieville and hopes to open a French bistro one day.

“My Mother is an NPC graduate and professor, so I’ve literally grown up with NPC in my life. I’ve always enjoyed cooking and baking, but realized my full potential during my time in the Hospitality and Tourism Program. The management skills I’ve acquired have prepared me to take my passion to a whole other level,” said Hunt.

Associate professor Eve Victory described Hunt as an outstanding student with an excellent grade-point average. “Jason is a delight, and has the smarts and dedication to make an incredible career in our industry. I cannot wait to see how far he can fly.”
