National Park College (NPC) student Danna Lozano was awarded a Foundation General
Scholarship this semester. She is seeking an associate of arts degree with plans to
transfer to the University of Central Arkansas to study pre-health. She plans to pursue
veterinary medicine.
The Foundation General Scholarship was endowed with the purpose of helping students
who may not qualify for other institutional or Foundation scholarships but have a
financial need.
Lozano was drawn to NPC’s beautiful campus, and she was excited to join the inaugural
NPC soccer team. “[NPC] allows students to come from all over the state and world
for sports or education and they get to experience something brand-new,” she said.
“They are able to get the same education as any other student would at a four-year
state college.”
“The scholarship to me means I'm able to continue my education here and my family
can continue to work and worry less every month about having to pay for my college
tuition. I would like to thank the donors of this scholarship and thank my family
and friends for pushing me to try harder and to never give up, no matter how many
times I wanted to,” stated Lozano.
