The PN class of 2022 collected 513 items; the RN class of 2022 delivered 720 items, while the RN class of 2023 donated 1,029 items.

"The week before classes began, Dr. Burke sent out an email asking for donations for the Hawk Food Pantry,” said Smith. I thought it would be a fun challenge for the nursing students to do during the first week. At the end of the first week, all three nursing classes asked for an additional week. The RN Class of 2023, RN Class of 2022, and the PN Class of 2022 brought in over 2,200 food items for our campus family. I am so proud of the teamwork and the giving, caring nature that our nursing students showed during this challenge. The RN Class of 2023 won the challenge with over 1,000 food items. It amazed me that 76 new nursing students banded together and made this happen."
