The National Park College (NPC) Student Government Association (SGA) announces a week
of homecoming festivities on campus for Monday, April 12 through Friday, April 16
culminating in homecoming games for the Nighthawk baseball and softball teams on Saturday,
April 17.
Teams of friends or members of a campus organization are encouraged to work together
to win individual prizes as well as points toward taking home the coveted Spring 2021
Nighthawk Spirit Stick for their group. The Spirit Stick winner will be announced
at the games on Saturday. The winner of each event will receive 100 points towards
the Spirit Stick, with second place receiving 75 points and third 50 points. 25 points
will be given for participating.
The homecoming week schedule is as follows:
Disney Universe Dress-Up Day
Monday, April 12
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to dress up in their favorite Disney, Marvel
or Star Wars characters. Prizes will be given to the best costumes. Photos of each
participant will be taken between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the Quad or, in the event
of inclement weather, in the first floor of the Student Commons building. Voting on
participant photos will occur Monday to Thursday.
Campus Scavenger Hunt
Tuesday, April 13
Students, faculty and staff will form teams of 2-6 and follow clues across campus.
Each team will be timed and prizes will be awarded for the fastest completions. Teams
will hunt from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. beginning on the Quad or, in the event of inclement
weather, on the first floor of the Student Commons building.
Trivia Game Show
Wednesday, April 14
Students will compete in teams of 4 to answer trivia questions covering NPC facts,
current events, pop culture and more. Games will be played each half-hour beginning
at 11 a.m. at the Donathan Pavilion outside of the Student Commons building or, in
the event of inclement weather, the Oaklawn Foundation Gymnasium.
NPC Spirit Days
Thursday & Friday, April 15-16
Wear your best NPC gear on Thursday or Friday and compete with your student organization
to create the best banner. Banners will be displayed at the baseball and softball
games on Saturday. Work on your banner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days on the Quad
or, in the event of inclement weather, on the first floor of the Student Commons building.
Homecoming
Saturday, April 17
Watch Nighthawk baseball as they take on Northern Oklahoma Tonkawa in a doubleheader
at Hot Springs High School from noon to 4 p.m. Catch Nighthawk softball versus North
Arkansas College at the same location from 1-5 p.m. NPC students, faculty and staff
will receive free admission. Please note that the bleachers are closed and fans will
need to bring their own seats. Face masks are required. Go Nighthawks!
