National Park College (NPC) named Erika Rico as the October student of the month.
Rico is completing an Associate of Science in Business and Marketing degree.
She chose NPC because of the scholarships she received and because the College is
close to home.
Rico was surprised to be selected as student of the month. She described herself as
more of an introvert, but enjoys engaging with faculty. She noted being named student
of the month shows “that what I do is appreciated by the teachers and the students.
It makes me happy to be recognized.”
NPC assistant professor of accounting Zane Jeffers said, “Erika is a model student
who not only asks thoughtful questions during class, but also helps other students
learn by explaining problems during group work.”
