National Park College (NPC) Nighthawk Athletics announced the 2020 baseball and softball
rosters and season schedules this week.
The Nighthawk baseball team will kick off its season Saturday, Feb. 1 against Arkansas
Baptist College at Hot Springs World Class High School in Hot Springs. The softball
team will open its season Wednesday, Feb. 5 at Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton,
Oklahoma.
The softball team will include Megan Beene of Carlisle High School, Hannah Harvey
of El Capitan High School (Lakeside, Ca.) , Kaley Joseph of Lafayette County High
School, Grace Crawford of South Side Bee Branch High School, Quashia Dickens of Gurdon
High School, Cherokee Fields of Fountain Lake High School, Braelynne Bates of Mount
Ida High School, Kyndal Hardy of Mt. Vernon Enola High School, Summer Godwin of Mountain
Pine High School, Sarah Todd of Mayflower High School, Emily Cecil of Conway High
School, Jessye Rowland of Lake Hamilton High School and Samantha Shefelton of Junction
City High School (Junction City, Ks.).
“We’re excited to get this program off the ground and represent National Park College,”
NPC head softball coach Jessie Taylor said. “We’re starting from scratch, but our
focus is building the program and playing games. We know that this is going to be
a great opportunity for these girls and help our recruitment for the future and help
with the culture of this program.”

“We have a lot of hard-working guys on this team,” NPC head baseball coach Dillon
Hargrove said. “That’s what I love about this team. They will run through a brick
wall for you and they work extremely hard. This team has faced some adversity which
will prepare them for adversity on the field. We want them to be mentally and physically
sharp. We’ve been practicing five days a week and they’re ready to play. They’re ready
to see another color jersey out there playing against them.”

in February, home games for each program will be live-streamed at www.xzerosports.com.
