The National Park College (NPC) Foundation recently received a $5,000 grant from the Arvest Foundation to support the NPC COVID-19 Student Relief Fund.
The primary purpose of the Arvest Foundation is to support local organizations doing outstanding work to improve the quality of life in the communities they serve. Community Bank President, Franklin Bass said, “We are pleased to present this donation to National Park College on behalf of the Arvest Foundation. The college is part of what makes this city so unique. Hot Springs is a resort town with a fantastic educational institution where folks can receive a wonderful education and better themselves. National Park College truly adds to the success of this town, and we are lucky to have the institution here.”
NPC President, Dr. John Hogan said, "This generous gift to the NPC COVID-19 Student Relief Fund will directly benefit students in need. Arvest is a treasured partner for NPC and we appreciate the support from the Foundation. When neighbors support one another during difficult times, our community is made stronger. Arkansas is fortunate to have Arvest Bank."
The NPC COVID-19 Student Relief Fund was established in April 2020 to support students facing food insecurities, and provide wellness opportunities, financial, and housing assistance. "Our students have faced many hardships this year so we have pivoted our fundraising efforts to address their immediate needs. We know our students need the most help in these areas," said NPC Foundation Executive Director, Nicole Herndon.
